Amma's Books - In Her own words ...

Swami asked me to write more about my experiences. The third book of the ‘Liberation Here Itself Right Now’ series was the result. While writing He gave examples from the Vedas to show that throughout my life I have walked on the path of the Vedas. He asked me to divide the book in to three sections:  Rig Veda, Yajur Veda and Sama Veda. Swami explained to me that all my experiences, feelings and thoughts are Vedas. I do not know the Vedas. I have not read them but Swami said that I have followed the path of the Vedas throughout my life.

Next, Swami asked me to write a book on the Bhagavad Gita, using my experiences to explain the slokas. It was only while writing that I understood that I have fully followed the path laid by the Gita. Unknowingly I have lived the path laid by the Gita and the Vedas.

Again, Swami asked me to write, this time on the Upanishads. After beginning the task, I soon realized that my life demonstrated the teachings of these scriptures. I wrote ten Upanishads giving examples of my own nature and feelings to explain the high wisdom. Most people read the Vedas, Upanishads and other scriptures and then try to practice their teachings. This is ‘first knowledge’ and then ‘practice’. My life is opposite. First practice, gain knowledge, then speak from experience. I have lived a life that demonstrates the principles of the Vedas and Upanishads.

Then, Swami asked me to write Beyond the Upanishads. This book was written after coming to live in Mukthi Nilayam. It is full of my feelings and thoughts. Swami told that these feelings and thoughts arise in a soul that has separated the subtle and causal body. When one becomes totally focused on God, the physical body, subtle body and causal body are separated; one lives in a state of pure consciousness.

I cried continuously for Universal Liberation. I poured out these feelings in the form of books. Swami told me to write ‘Beyond the Upanishads’, ‘Brahma Sutra’, ‘Prema Sutra’ and ‘Ananda Sutra’. As I wrote these books, I realized that through the feelings that emerged from me, Swami was showing different states of attainment. He shows each state saying, “This feeling, these qualities are suitable for this Veda and that feeling, those qualities are for Gita.” He tells me all and I write. This is how I wrote ‘Beyond the Upanishads’ and all my books.

In 2004, while writing Beyond the Upanishads, I totally emptied myself and offered all to Swami; He then filled His Truth in me. I am in the state of not knowing what state I am in. This is ‘I without i’.

I am an ordinary village woman who does not know about the outside world. I am doing only one thing and that is crying for God. My birth is a waste, if I cannot attain Him. I am always crying and lamenting, “I want only Swami, I don’t want anything else.”

This thirst to see God has been with me since birth. This thirst emerges from the deepest depths of my heart.  I attained Sathya. Yet, I do not know this. This is the ‘I without i’ state.

This Sathya is shaking my feelings, life force, heart and body. The principle of Sathya Sai has become one with me. I know only this One. ‘I want Him, I want Him’ This is my sole thirst. Through this, Swami is proving that I have followed the path of the Vedas, Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita.

God is the Primal Source of the Vedas, Upanishads and Brahma sutra. All emerged from Him alone. I have caught hold of That, which is the center of all. Automatically, everything comes to me. Since I have walked one-pointedly towards God, the scriptures became my path. I did not look at the path or the world, as my eyes were set on the goal, God. We should catch hold of God, who is the center of all. This is enough. There is no need to study the Vedas and Upanishads. They will automatically become our nature. This is shown through the example of my life. A jeeva rises higher and higher in sadhana and becomes Shiva. Her experiences, her feelings, her thoughts, become the Vedas, Upanishads and Brahma Sutra.

In this state, all my thoughts are centered only on Universal Liberation and my final merger with Swami in the physical body. These two thoughts alone occupy my mind.

SACRED NADI READINGS

Released on 1st Jan 2014

In this book, we have seen God's great mysterious unfolding drama. Just as each person has their own point of view, the saints, sages and siddhas have written according to their viewpoint, angle and the extent of Truth revealed to them. Though each nadi is different, all describe the same events, but with the individual emphasis of the sage or siddha. Four main themes run throughout the nadis:

1.      Swami returns in the Sathya Sai form.
2.      Amma is Swami's Shakthi.
3.      Amma's body merges as a jyothi with Swami.
4.      The coming of the Sathya Yuga, the Golden Age and Prema Sai happens.
